At Brilliant Dance Company Dance Studio, we believe that Competition Dance is an opportunity for our dancers to grow and shine! While competition is a great opportunity to earn awards, our primary focus is improving with each performance and experiencing the joy of dancing on stage.
Success on a competitive team requires focus, dedication, perseverance, hard work, team work, and courage. We encourage our competitive students to set their own goals at the start of each season, because we believe competitive dance is not about who you can beat or what you can win but what personal limits you can surpass.
Competition is a year-round commitment.
Two Competitive Tracks
We offer two competitive tracks for our dancers: Glow and Shine.
Our Glow Team is for dancers new to competition, or wanting less of a commitment. Glow Team members must commit to one group dance and will attend one mandatory regional competition. They are required to take their rehearsal class along with a ballet class at their level and a leaps and turns class. Other classes and routines are optional and up to the dancer and their family.
Our Shine Team is for dancers really wanting to challenge themselves, grow as dancers, and perform more frequently! Shine Team members must commit to two group routines and attend three mandatory regional competitions. They are required to take their rehearsal classes as well as two ballet classes at their level and a leaps and turns class. Additional classes and routines are optional.
